I got one of the new Wacom Bamboo tablets!  It's the Pen & Touch version, which means I no longer have to feel like an idiot when I impulsively reach for the tablet surface with my fingers.  It seems I picked up the instinct to touch the tablet after a long time of using the MacBook trackpad and the iPhone.  It's so nice to be able to just reach out and zoom or pan with my fingers.  Very nifty.  I'm giving my old non-multi-touch Graphire4 to a friend who doesn't have a tablet.  

Now, does anyone have a photo to retouch or a line drawing to colour?  I want to break this thing in!

I can feel a bubble of creativity coming.  There is a chance it may be a phantom bubble.  I need to get my tablet back and see what happens.

I'm obviously going through my usual in-and-out cycle of interest in various hobbies.  I'm sure soon my love affair with dA will pick up again.  For now, we're both seeing other people.

I sold my Cintiq today for $700.  It was a sad moment, like giving a pet up for adoption.  This money will help me catch up on credit card bills while I temporarily live on employment insurance as I relocate back to my home town of Saskatoon (for those who don't know, it's one of the major populous cities in the prairies of Canada).

What this means is that I won't be producing digital hand-painted content until I get my hands on a tablet.  I expect that will be a month or two.  *sigh* The sooner the better.
